Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman, an American gymnast, was a member of both the Fierce 5 2012 as well as the Final Five 2016 US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. Aly Raisman was awarded three gold medals during the 2012 Olympics which took place in London. Additionally, she brought home a bronze medal on the balance beam. In 2012 she was the first American athlete to earn the most medals at the Olympics. In the 2016 Olympics she was awarded an Olympic gold medal for the team event, which gave her as well as teammate Gabby Douglas the distinction of having been the first Americans to have two consecutive gold medals for the team. Additionally, she won silver in the individual all around event and for floor work. After the 2 Olympics she took off from gymnastics competition for three years. Additionally, she was part of the gold medal winning American teams at 2 World Championships. Her most favorite sport is flooring exercise. She started learning gymnastics at the age of two years old. Aly is an active member of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation in memory her grandmother, who passed away due to cancer. She plans to make a career out of fashion. It is also her dream to extend her leotards line and socks. The book she is working on is called Fierce which will come out later this year.
