Ellie Jane Goulding was born in Hereford England on December 30 1986. Tracey Goulding Summers is her mother. Her father Arthur Goulding comes from a funeral home-based family. Goulding was the second baby of the family has an older sister named Isabel and an older sister called Jordan. Alex Goulding's older brother performs bass. He is also a Hereford musician. Her mother was a big advocate for her the instrument as a young child. She began learning to play the clarinet when she was nine.
